Ravenstone Guesthouse is ideally placed for you to access the cream of the higher-shire lands within and beyond the National Forest. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee new plantation is but a short drive from the village and offers one of a whole host of lovely walks for those who have four-footed friends, those of you that are bird watchers, or guests simply looking for some peace and quiet.
Ravenstone is just off the A511, between junction 22 of the M1 and junction 13 of the M42 making us ideally placed for those travelling North, South, East or West.
Other places nearby include Twycross Zoo – world renowned for its work with primates and endangered and rare breed animals.
Railways you can visit include the Great Central Railway, Bosworth Battlefield line and Crich Tram museum. For motor sports fans there is the Donington racing car collection and nearby aircraft museum . Slightly further away there is the National Motorcycle Museum.
Ravenstone has Sustrans Cycle route 52 passing through the village. Leicestershire has excellent walking country (nearby is the Charnwood ring).
